We are based in Cambridge and are seeking an experienced gardener to fill a Crew Leader/Lead Gardener position, March/April until December.
Responsibilities:
Lead a crew in the field while working alongside them
Organize trucks and workers
Complete paperwork in a timely manner
Collaborate on garden design projects
Facilitate communication and information flow within the company
Plant, weed, prune, mulch, amend soil, deadhead, rake leaves, design, etc.
Requirements:
Must have 3 to 5 years of gardening/landscaping experience and preferably at least 1 year of crew leading
A clean, current driver's license
Ability to work independently and with a group
Experience with pruning, cleaning, mulching, amending soil, planting, deadheading, raking leaves, etc.
Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work
Capable of lifting/carrying 40+ pounds
Able to safely work with sharp tools and power equipment
Enthusiastic, dependable, and a positive attitude
Able to take direction and get along with co-workers
