We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team full-time. As a lead technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Occasional installations on a variety of hvac equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with HVAC equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components to restore functionality and efficiency.
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or improvements to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
- Document service activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain service findings and recommendations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles and practices
- Ability to operate commercial van for transportation of tools and equipment to job sites
- Plumbing skills for connecting pipes and fittings in HVAC systems
- Mechanical aptitude for repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment
- Ability to design HVAC systems based on client needs and specifications
- Understanding of property maintenance requirements related to HVAC systems
- Welding skills for fabrication or repair of metal components in HVAC systems
- Natural gas heating appliance service work a BIG plus
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in the HVAC service industry.
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
