The Millwright plays a vital role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment. This position reports to the Foreman and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.
Your Role
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery
Rigging, moving, and setting machinery and equipment on pads
Setting and alignment of baseplates associated with machinery
The alignment and coupling of machinery and motor shafts
Adjustment and installation of vibration isolation
Layout and setting of templates associated with setting equipment baseplates
Rigging and setting of machinery, pumps, equipment, and process storage tanks
Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs etc.
Move machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
Assemble machines, and bolt, welt, rivet or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
Your Education and Experience
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and machinery
High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction industry
Experience in wastewater and water treatment plants highly preferred

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site
Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions
Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders
Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Travel
Travel is primarily local, and limited to Northeast jobsite locations, during the business day; with occasional out of state and overnight travel. Less than 20% travel expected.
