Position Overview
The Plumbing Project Manager & Estimator will oversee all aspects of plumbing projects from initial bid through completion. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, technical plumbing knowledge, and the ability to accurately estimate project costs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and manage plumbing projects from inception to completion
Supervise field staff and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and team members
Estimating:
Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates
Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare and submit detailed bids and proposals
Track project costs and prepare change orders as needed
Communication & Reporting:
Provide regular project updates to clients and company leadership
Maintain thorough project documentation and records
Address and resolve project issues promptly
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in plumbing project management and/or estimating
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations
Proven experience in preparing accurate project estimates and managing budgets
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Proficient in construction management and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites as needed
