The right person for this position:
The perfect fit for this position is someone who enjoys working with people and can
multitask while running a crew. You must have excellent communication, be well organized,
detail focused, quality driven, and familiar with basic computer programs. You really should
have some construction experience, although we will train the right person on what they
need to know.
General Job Responsibilities
As new Contracts come in that include Roofing and even skylights, you will order all
materials and run their installations.
You will confirm the job details, measurements and order materials
You will schedule the job including dump trailers, dumpsters, materials, and crew.
Ensure material deliveries are accurate the morning of and handle any discrepancies
on site in a timely manner.
Run all installations. Many speak English and Spanish.
Pickup 2nd payment from homeowner and Perform Pre-Construction Checklist with
homeowner, Safety Meeting with crew and get crew started.
Supervise workers on site
When there are skylights involved you will be handling all of the interior trim work
that needs to be completed so you should have carpentry skills or be able to learn
then quickly
In some cases you may need to run out for additional materials
Manage and coordinate change orders that may arise
Perform final walk around with homeowners and collect final payments. We aim for
100% Satisfaction.
Take extensive photos and videos throughout the day and upload to the cloud
Upon job completion pay the crews based on company pay sheets.
Roofing starts at 7am and runs until the job is completed. These are generally long
days ending between 5-8 pm depending on the job complexity.
Your position will also entail roof inspections and frequent roofing repairs either on
your own or with a crew member
80% of this job is Supervision and oversight and 20% is actual physical labor doing
the work yourself usually to trim out skylight interior
Assist with the disposal of waste shingles using the company trailer
Physical Requirements for the Project Manager:
Lifting and carrying equipment such as ladders, bundles of shingles, tools, safety
gear.
Must feel comfortable when on a roof while harnessed and tied off.
Qualifications
Our jobs are typically located anywhere from Boston South to the Cape and West to
Attleboro, but we will go anywhere in MA
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), EMAIL
We will teach you the CRM system that we use
Solid knowledge and understanding of the construction business, with an emphasis
on the installation of Roofing and rough and finish carpentry.
Ability to assist the crew where and when needed
Willingness to contribute actively in team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas.
Ability to prioritize critical tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, digest
information quickly, and meet essential deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proven attention to detail.
Strong sense of accountability and a backbone to hold the crew accountable for any
mistakes or damages onsite from their carelessness if any.
Ability to work under pressure.
Highly motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision and set your own
schedules.
Capable of identifying issues and generating solutions in moderately complex
situations.
Capable of probing and listening carefully, presenting information clearly in an
appropriate style and persuading others in straightforward situations.
Creative thinker and self-organizer who takes the initiative to deliver tasks to
completion.
Ability to understand and speak Spanish highly beneficial though not required
Compensation Package:
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: General working hours of Monday-Friday 7AM – job completion. Flexible
hours, but work may require nights and weekends depending on project deadlines.
Paid Training
Pay Rate: Starting at $30/hour to start depending on experience plus overtime
