Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as FedEx Ground Delivery Drivers. This position does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), making it accessible to a wide range of candidates. As a delivery driver, you will enjoy staying active while performing important delivery tasks within your local area. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver & Pickup: Safely operate a FedEx vehicle as a delivery driver to deliver and pick up packages, ensuring timely service to our customers.
Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, addressing any delivery issues that arise and providing solutions promptly.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues to ensure safety and efficiency for all delivery drivers.
Route Management: Plan and execute efficient delivery routes as a driver, optimizing travel time while adhering to schedules.
Package Handling: Safely manipulate packages weighing up to 150 pounds, utilizing assistance when necessary.
Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for drivers and customers.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve delivery issues as they arise, escalating to supervisors when needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License: A clean regular driver's license is required; no CDL necessary.
Driving Experience: Previous delivery experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn the role of a delivery driver.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with customers and team members.
