NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Driver/Dispatchers – NORTH OF BOSTON, MA (surrounding areas)

The transportation company is currently seeking NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Drivers and Dispatchers to join our team of exceptionally skilled and committed non-medical emergency transportation specialists.

Job Description: The driver will operate Transportation company vehicles rendering service for the transport of persons in a safe, timely, and courteous manner, communicating with and assisting passengers; perform other related duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain clear communication between Members, Dispatch, Appointment Facilities, Dialysis Centers, and Transportation company Management.

Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers, employees located at other facilities, and the public using principles of good customer service and good judgment.

Maintain 100% accuracy when performing trips.

Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspection of the assigned vehicle prior to beginning route & at the end of the shift.

The driver is responsible to keep the vehicle in clean condition, bring the vehicle to the mechanic's shop for service as needed and make sure the vehicle is always filled up with gas after work hours.

Operates Smartphone with access to email and internet, ability to use an App. to check in and check out customers that dispatcher specifies.

Show true compassion for the disabled and elderly.

Perform “Door to Door” service.

Adapts to change in the work environment.

Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Uses time efficiently and completes work in a timely manner.

Review schedule in advance and notify dispatch/Fleet Manager if the schedule needs to be adjusted to make pickup/drop-off times.

Communicating with dispatch Members’ status updates as a driver is or becomes aware.

Observe safety and security procedures.

Communicate any Incidents/Accidents or become aware immediately to Fleet Manager.

Ability to present yourself as well as the company in a professional manner.

Any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Competent verbal, and other languages are a plus and welcome! We have a great International Team, very friendly and hardworking!

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must pass a Criminal Background Screening and Sex Offender Registry Search at time of hire and annually thereafter.

Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check at time of hire and continuously during employment.

Must pass a Drug Screen at time of hire.

Availability to work hours ranging from 5:00 AM to noontime and later hours available as well, Weekends half-day work only, we require full time to work minimum 5.5 days but we also pretty flexible and could work with you custom schedule!

Ability to remain in a seated position for extended periods. Ability to lift or pull up to 10lbs.

Reports to: Fleet Manager/Dispatcher
