Position Summary: Provides and performs quality radiographs to assist and facilitate a diagnosis of patient illness by utilizing prescribed standards and techniques of x-ray equipment. Location: 680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA Department: Radiology This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures including explanation

Utilize proper technical factors as required by equipment and proper positioning technique for optimum visualization of specified body part requested.

Practice safe operating procedures and shielding.

Develop films as necessary using proper identification process.

Gather pertinent information, correlate paperwork and films for presentation to Radiologist for interpretation.

Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures in regard to safety and regulatory agencies.

Maintain supplies and equipment

Maintain professional and technical knowledge with CECs

Troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repair on equipment when necessary.

Pull/file films if needed, as well as assist with clerical duties(time permitting)

Assist during emergency situations.

Honor patient confidentiality.

Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with staff, patients and other provider offices.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:

Produces quality radiographs to assist and facilitate a diagnosis of patient illness by utilizing prescribed standards and techniques.

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures including pre and post procedure patient education as needed.

Practice radiation safety including utilization of dose reduction techniques as well as patient shielding.

Gather pertinent information, correlate paperwork and digital images for presentation to Radiologist for interpretation.

Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures in regard to safety and regulatory requirements.

Maintain supplies and equipment. Maintain professional and technical knowledge with supporting CEUs.

Troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repair on equipment when necessary.

Assist during emergency situations.

Honor patient confidentiality.

Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with staff, patients and referring provider offices.

Education: ARRT Registered. Licensed by the state of Massachusetts.
