Menauhant Yacht Club is looking for a swimming instructor for the summer of 2025.
PART-TIME POSITION- TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS

We offer three levels of instruction, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Swimmers range from 3 years old to 12 years old. The swimming instructor will organize and run classes where students learn and practice leveled swimming skills, have fun, and become lifelong competent ocean swimmers with a focus on safety. Typical class size ranges from 2 to 6 swimmers.
Menauhant is a small, close-knit community with multi-generational families who have grown up in this quaint ocean-front location. The Junior Program is only available to families who are in-residence, in Menauhant. This is a very safe, family-oriented community with dirt roads, private beaches, and views of Martha's Vineyard.
There are opportunities for the swimming instructor to offer private swimming instruction outside of the normal work hours and/or on weekends, to further increase earning potential.
Housing is not included with this position.
Pay range is from $19 - $25 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. Red Cross WSI certification is preferred.
Scheduled Hours - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-12:30
Start and End Dates: 7/1/25 - 8/15/25
Additional requirements - Attend the annual meeting and two Jr. Awards ceremonies (1-2 hours each) in the evening. The swim instructor will be paid for these functions.
