Atlantic Design Engineers, an established civil engineering firm located on Cape Cod, is seeking a CAD Technician with at least 3 years’ experience. Our firm oversees a variety of commercial design projects and specializes in large-scale solar development. As a Civil 3D CAD Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming survey data and engineering concepts into comprehensive and detailed site plans. Primary responsibilities include assisting project engineers in the design of land development projects, preparation of plans, stormwater calculations, permit applications and construction documents.
Responsibilities
Process and integrate survey data into detailed existing conditions plans.
Collaborate with engineers to design and draft site layouts, including grading and drainage systems.
Create construction documents and technical drawings for commercial and solar development projects.
Coordinate with the team to solve design challenges and deliver high-quality plans on time.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.
Cursory understanding of site layout, grading, drainage design, and related principles is preferred.
Familiarity with local and state permitting processes is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
