Great Island Homeowners’ Association, a community of homes on Cape Cod nestled between Lewis Bay and Nantucket Sound, is currently seeking a full time, seasonal Front of House Coordinator.
Status: Exempt
Reports To: General Manager
Primary Job Function & Environment: To act as primary Front of House Staff for a seasonal beachside restaurant serving lunch six days a week and dinner on Friday evenings. The restaurant operates from late June through Labor Day. The environment at Great Island is focused on family and quality services for homeowners and guests.
Essential Duties (included but not limited to):
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing dining area
- Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the restaurant
- Handle payment transactions and order flow accurately using TOAST
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
Work Schedule:
30 hours per week. Typically Tuesday - Sunday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and Friday evenings. Hours subject to change depending on the level of business.

Great Island is a summer-oriented residential community of approximately 600 acres in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts on the south shore of Cape Cod. The island, which is accessible by road, consists of pristine beaches on Nantucket Sound and Lewis Bay, marshland, fields, forested conservation land, a sheltered cove, a historic lighthouse and 41 privately owned homes. Other amenities include a small seasonal restaurant, a 10-hole rustic golf course, four tennis courts, two pickleball courts, a children’s recreation program, and two docks.
