The Boat Guy in Bourne is seeking a part-time skilled mechanic to diagnose and repair small engine outdoor power equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring timely repairs and reliability of most major brands of power equipment. The Boat Guy is a dealer for all the top lines of power equipment including Stihl, Husqvarna, Kress, Honda, Scag, Wacker, and more.

Work Hours:
Flexible Part-time 10-16 hours per week
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform inspection of two and four stroke equipment such as lawn mowers and tractors, compactors, loaders, chainsaws, snow blowers, trimmers, blowers
Troubleshoot reported problems using competent knowledge and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform repairs to equipment aiming for maximum reliability
Communicate and discuss suggested repairs and maintenance with management
Pick up, delivery, and maintenance/repair of customer's equipment as needed
Attentive record keeping of all service and repairs
Track & utilize equipment warranties
Stock inventory and add all necessary parts to customer work orders
Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop & common areas
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a mechanic: 3 years
Strong organizational skills
Willingness to learn & adapt
Extremely reliable
Attention to detail
Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Ability to problem solve
Must have own reliable transportation
Valid driver's license & clean driving record
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Welding & diesel experience a plus
