My mother died in Chatham June 5 2023. My sisters did hospice care and had her sign, under duress, over the deed to the $1 million home we were supposed to split when she had 2 weeks to live.
There seems to be a potential June 5 deadline to file in probate, the estate was all thrown into a shady trust crafted by a local attorney to be expensive to fight and to circumvent probate.
All of us live out of state. I believe I have a strong case for civil fraud as well with jurisdictional questions.
May just need to get something filed before June 5 to reset the clock.
There are so many egregious errors and preposterous lies on the part of the conspirators, there is a newspaper article forthcoming and both sisters have been investigated, are being investigated for elder abuse for financial gain. The estate is over 1 million.
I can pay the 1k easily, but want to file pro se to prevent an evergreen retainer occurring while I mull options.
The article is detailed and should come out in late June and will put pressure on the conspirators, but I would like legal leverage as well.
There is a possibility that they will be completely disinherited. Possibly open to contingency.
I have 3 highly skilled lawyers advising me where I live. May need to come there soon for meetings with a PI and could meet then or we can do business remotely.
