Cape Cod Panels is a Commercial and Residential interior and exterior panel manufacturing company. Our manufacturing process incorporates a “line assembly” methodology requiring employees to work at specific stations in support of a continuous production operation.
Yard Worker Job Duties:
Primary duties include stacking product and assembling loads for shipment. Yard inventory; including marking, securing and covering of materials to be used in the production of panels. Performs quality control of panels as they enter the yard before stacking assembly.
Operate forklifts, Lull and commercial delivery trucks.
Assemble panels in accordance with loading list for delivery to job site or pickup at the time and date required by the customer.
Assist in counting and maintaining yard inventory, and keeping the yard neat, clean and orderly.
Deliver lumber and building materials to job sites as assigned.
Maintains maintenance records for all forklifts, Lulls and trucks used for business.
Maintaining yard paperwork per job including bills of lading, fuel receipts, stack list
Fuel management for yard equipment.
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the yard and vehicles.
Receiving and unloading trucks.
Maintains dumpster and hopper
Observe all safety rules and regulations and take prompt corrective action concerning any potential safety hazard.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
CDL license
Experience operating a forklift, Lull and flatbed trucks.
Ability to lift 75 pounds. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as take direction.
Time management skills a must.
Good verbal and written communication skills are a plus.
Lumber and building materials knowledge preferred.
