KITCHEN AND RETAIL STAFF POSITION - East End Market

This Kitchen and Retail Staff Position will perform daily activities in both the kitchen and the retail parts of the East End Market. The East End Market serves breakfast and lunch, as well as prepared foods. It also sells various groceries, wine, beer, liquor, and cigarettes. Prior kitchen and customer service experience required and a good work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment is important. This position will include taking food orders from customers, making breakfast and lunch sandwiches and salads, as well as serving and packaging various prepared foods. At different times, this position will also include working the cash register to complete sales. This will be a year-round position, full-time for most of the year and part-time (25-30 hours) in the off-season.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Previous history in food and retail
Previous experience with Point of Sale systems
People and communication skills
Be able to adjust to a changing working environment
Self-motivated and a high level of confidence
Available to work opening and closing shifts throughout the week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Making breakfast and lunch sandwiches based on customer orders
Weighing and packaging prepared foods for customers
Entering and completing sales on POS system
Cleaning kitchen and store
Performing procedures to open and close store
