Job Title: Retail Associate - Liquor Store
Job Overview:
We are a family-owned liquor store seeking a dedicated and reliable Retail Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate responsibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing inventory, utilizing a POS system, and performing physical tasks to maintain the store's cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
Learn and efficiently operate the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
Manage and organize inventory, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks.
Lift and handle heavy wine, beer, and liquor cases (up to 50 lbs) safely.
Perform cleaning tasks, including taking out trash and maintaining a tidy and presentable store environment.
Stay informed about beer, wine, and spirits to assist customers with knowledgeable recommendations.
Use computers and web-based tools for inventory management and online sales or promotions.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment with accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge or interest in beer, wine, and spirits is a plus.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong physical stamina to handle lifting, stocking, and cleaning tasks.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused demeanor.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
