Holly Tree Resort West Yarmouth is looking for a responsible person to be "on call " from 10pm-8am up to 7 days a week. (The Hotel is not staffed during these hours.) The Hotel is open from Mid February - December 31. We have an after hour answering service to solve 99% of the issues. In the event the Answering service is unable to resolve the issue. The person on call would be contacted and asked to go to the resort. Over the last 5 years we have averaged less than 4 instances for the entire year that requires a visit to the Hotel.
Typical issues that require an on site visit would be a "lost key", "noise complaint" or "issue with an incoming reservation", though we take steps to prevent these occurences! Training will be provided to handle all of these issues.
We pay a flat fee per night of coverage and in the event you must go to the resort you will be paid flat fee for you visit.
Applicant must have transportation, be reliable and in a state of mind to handle a call at all hours of the night.
Perfect job for someone looking for additional income without leaving your home (except for the rare occurrences).
If you work 20 nights per month, you will be guaranteed $400 for the month = $20 per night.
If you get called into the resort, you will be paid $65 for each occurrence.
At approximately 8pm every night you will receive a list of all guest staying at the resort along with potential arrivals, this information will assist you should you get a call from the service. Let me reemphasize, 99% of the time you will not hear from anyone after this. You just need to keep your phone on should a call come in.
Bottom line, if you are responsible and have transportation this is a nice little gig without a lot of heavy lifting!
