I am looking for help from a finish grade, cabinet grade carpenter to achieve my goal and finish my basement in Yarmouth, Cape Cod. I can’t do this on my own and I am looking for someone to work with me. You need to have your own tools (table saws for plywood, miter saws drill press) and a pick-up truck to get the lumber. I will be using ½ inch finished plywood for the walls and ceiling, so nothing can be hidden by paint.
This is not a full time job I am offering, it's a opportunity to help me to finish the work my father and I started. Maybe it's for someone who is retired, has some off time or some spare time or something like that. It does not have to be done all at once, I am not in a rush. Taking the time to do things best is important. Even if this is not you, maybe you know someone who fits this bill. For over 10 years this has been a dream and now I hope to achieve it. My father set high standards and I want to make him and my family proud. I am not looking for a company to do this job, I am looking for someone to work with me to finish my basement.
This job is not for everyone so please don’t respond of you are not a perfectionist. I am OCD and appreciate detail, fine woodworking and a job well done. My father was a great finish carpenter. He was a proud man and we built the house together. I also hope I find a new friend once we complete the job.
