Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

Perform review of serologic investigations ranging in complexity from basic to complex antigen typing and compatibility testing. Consult and communicate with regional IRL staff to assure quality and adequacy of testing.

Review and approve quality control of equipment and reagents.

Participate in test result entry into laboratory computer system, labeling and verification of blood products.

Adhere to procedures, regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Maintain accurate, legible and complete records.

Maintain currency in training as required.

Obtain 12 hours of continuing education per year.

Standard Schedule: Part Time, Saturday 9 am to 5 pmWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry with MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) or equivalent certification required. SBB (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.Experience: Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.Management Experience: N/ASkills & Abilities: Demonstrate good written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal customers. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate independent problem-solving skills. Able to work remotely in a virtual team with good computer skills. Home office space review is mandatory. Must possess critical-thinking skills and attention to detail. Promotes quality-driven work environment. Ability to work on a team.Travel: May involve variable locations and some travel.Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).BENEFITS FOR YOU:We take care of you, while you take care of others.
