Chestnut Hill of East Longmeadow is in search of an Experienced LTC Cook to join our TEAM! WE are looking to fill the position Full time 11 am – 7 pm The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. As Cook, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Essential Functions. · Preparation of meals according to menu plan, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. · Ability to manage portion control, ensuring proper preparation of select foods to meet individual need. · Demonstrates close attention to detail · Demonstrates organizational skills · Demonstrates a working knowledge of regulatory requirements as related to food preparation, serving, delivery and storage. · Demonstrates competency with maintaining kitchen safety and infection control principles. · Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, including residents, families, staff and persons from outside the organization · Every effort has been made to identify the essential function of this position.
