Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to manage and maintain financial records, process journal entries, and reconcile bank statements. You will also be tasked with managing grant administration and accounting.Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records Process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy Administer grant accounting and management tasks Ensure compliance with grant administration guidelines Maintain the general ledger and assist in the monthly closing process Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives Requirements Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to record accurate Journal Entries Experience in Grant Accounting is necessary Familiarity with Grant Administration processes Competence in executing effective Grant Management strategies Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
