Our dynamic team is driven by a shared passion for making a lasting impact.Position Overview:The LIHEAP Certifier certify and process the completion and accuracy of LIHEAP applications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · The LIHEAP Certifier Interpret and apply the general knowledge of federal and state LIHEAP regulations as outlined inthe state administrative guidance, scope of services, memos and regulations issued by theDepartment of Housing and Community Development.· The LIHEAP Certifier perform data entry, intake, and certification of eligibility of applications/related data for LIHEAP.· Place outgoing calls to clients, programs, and agencies as needed for program compliance.· The LIHEAP Certifier respond to questions regarding the LIHEAP program from clients, intake associates,receptionists, and vendors. Book appointments and arrange appropriate referrals to otherprograms and agencies as needed.· The LIHEAP Certifier provide back up when needed at front desk assisting clients and receptionists as well as intakeassociates.· Maintain and file completed applications.· Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director.Required Qualifications and Skills:· High School Diploma or equivalent required.· Strong working knowledge of the LIHEAP regulations.· Previous experience as an intake associate.· Strong communications experience working with the public.· Ability to use general office equipment.· Ability to speak and write in Spanish or other languages a plus.· Excellent organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learnsystems used within the agency.· Must have reliable transportation and ability to arrive prior to the agency opening to the public.· May be asked to work extended hours during the peak of the fuel season.Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
