About the RoleThe Automation Engineer IV is responsible for overseeing the discipline at a project level and managing the project discipline budget on simple to complex projects of all sizes. The Automation Engineer IV has a thorough understanding of the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases. The expectation is that the Automation Group Leader will spend 10-20% of their time engaged in these management functions and for the remainder or the person’s time they will continue to operate as a team member in the role of Automation Engineer. Responsibilities of a Group Leader:Personalized development planning of staff, both from a technical and soft-skill perspectiveProvide technical guidance for their career planning, reviews, and goal planningWork with Market Team Leader for employee work assignments, matching up staff on projects that align with their goals and/or current skillsets and capabilitiesServe as mentor or identify other mentors to facilitate growth technically and professionally in accordance with a person's unique skillset and passionsAct as an employee advocate by championing on behalf of their staff and playing an active role in their overall fulfillmentHelp identify and develop new leaders and owners
