Follow established protocols for cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilization of instrumentation.
Adhere to standard precautions
Follow safety procedures and manufacturer’s instructions when handling cleaning solutions, supplies and equipment.
Operate equipment used in the sterile processing area safely and according to the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
Monitor, interpret, and document results of mechanical, chemical and biological indicators for sterilizers used in the sterile processing areas.
Prepare and distribute surgical case carts
Oversee the quality standard for handling and storing of materials and supplies used for sterile processing services and functions.
Comply with organizational policies, regulatory and accreditation standards, and professional guidelines.
Assists with improving the quality of central sterile processing services.
May be required to perform similar or related duties as may be necessary on an emergency basis or as designated by the department manager or supervisor.
SIGN-ON BONUS $3,000!QUALIFICATIONS:
Min Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent GED) and graduate of a CSPD training program required unless grandfathered due to sufficient current CSPD work experience.
Min Experience: Graduates of CSPD program; current CSPD experience preferred.
Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) preferred or certification required within 6 months hire date.
Skills: Computer skills, (Meditech, Instrument Management System preferred)
