Description We are looking for a meticulous Procurement Specialist to be part of our team in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry located in Natick, Massachusetts, United States. The role primarily involves handling the procurement needs of the Research and Development department, creating purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery from vendors. This offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle procurement needs for the R& D department, ensuring all materials and resources are available as required. Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and adhering to set procedures. Liaise with vendors to place orders and follow-up on delivery schedules. Convert quotes into orders and vice versa, ensuring all details align with company policies and procedures. Escalate any issues related to missed deliveries, working with vendors to rectify the situation promptly. Utilize Microsoft Excel, OneDrive, and PDFs to maintain accurate records and manage procurement processes. Ensure there are no delays in the procurement process, taking proactive measures to avoid any potential setbacks. Maintain a strong attention to detail throughout all tasks, ensuring all orders are correct and complete before submission. Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel and Purchase Orders management to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry Strong knowledge and experience with Purchase Orders and procurement processes Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle pressure Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with vendors and suppliers Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills Ability to analyze and interpret financial data Must adhere to a high level of confidentiality and integrity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is preferred.
