Maxim Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much respected facility in Pittsfield, MA who is currently seeking Direct Support Personnel to assist them at a Day Habilitation Center. Details of the position include: Location: Pittsfield, MADuration : 13 weeks to start, but strong chance of extensionFacility Type: Day Habilitation CenterSchedule: Part Time 11p-7a, 3-4 days/week Start Date: Two weeks from offerPay Rate: $21/hr POSITION DESCRIPTION: ABI/MFP Direct Care is primarily responsible for providing various supports to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting. The DC assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and recreational activities. The DC works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their own personal goals. Also assists individuals to find and participate in community activities they enjoy while encouraging community membership as well as pursuing individual interests.QUALIFICATIONS: Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement.Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the positions.
