Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Northborough , Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and analyzing financial information to ensure the maintenance of accurate records. Your primary tasks will encompass a range of accounting duties, including processing transactions, keeping track of accounts, and resolving discrepancies.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle customer credit applications Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records Resolve payment and billing discrepancies in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action Process vendor payments bi-weekly Collaborate closely with the purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Ensure proper reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts Prepare, review, and post journal entries at month end Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports and presentations as needed Ensure accounting controls by following policies and procedures Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by understanding existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed action.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position Mastery in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to record accurate Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Solid understanding of Accounting Principles Familiarity with standard Accounting Procedures Experience in managing Aging AccountsFor immediate consideration please call me asap!
