Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Mortgage Processor in South Boston, Massachusetts. As a Mortgage Processor, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring all aspects of mortgage loan processing are handled efficiently and effectively. You will be working in a dynamic environment where your responsibilities will include a range of tasks from processing real estate loans to resolving customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Coordinate with loan applicants to facilitate the mortgage loan processing. Process real estate loans, ensuring all necessary procedures and policies are followed. Prepare and analyze required documents related to mortgage processing. Provide explanations to members regarding loan procedures and policies. Interact with attorneys on closing documents, ensuring all details are accurate and complete. Adhere to anti-money laundering policy and Bank Secrecy laws to ensure compliance. Maintain a thorough knowledge of credit union products, services, and lending policies. Utilize your proficiency in MS Word and system applications to manage and organize work. Use your communication skills to professionally interact with customers and resolve their queries. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mortgage industry Proficient in closing processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex information to clients and team members Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle client concerns and queries professionally and efficiently Demonstrable track record of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency in relevant software and technology platforms used in mortgage processing Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess loan applications and customer credit data Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field would be advantageous Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to achieve department and company goals.
