Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Southbridge, Massachusetts area and will be a long-term contract / contract position.Responsibilities
Operate full-cycle A/P
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Perform special projects as assigned
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Provide customer service to internal business partners Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
