One of our clients in the Taunton area has an immediate need for a CMM Operator/Programmer. This position is Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm 2:00am.
Pay Rate: $18.00 and up based on experience
Programs and operate CMM are to inspect sheet metal stamped parts, CNC machined parts for conformance to specifications such as dimensions and tolerances by performing the following duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and operate Hexagon CMM with programming ability
Positions work piece on CMM using appropriate GD & T
Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances and other specifications
Inspect, adjust, and verify the accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications
Inspect first run parts and assemblies
Write reports regarding inspection and testing results
Use computer for reporting, transfer of CMM data and programming
Maintain master list of CMM programs and updates to appropriate revision level as applicable
Support and uphold all aspects of the quality operating system, offering instruction as appropriate to ensure the quality system is maintained
HIRING REQUIRMENTS:
CMM Operator: 3 years (Preferred)
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient with blue print interpretation and GD & T
Familiar with Hexagon PC-DMIS CMM Software.
Resolve conflicts in existing programs (i.e., unexpected probe hits, feature not found, etc.).
Able to manually inspect any part and modify existing programs to meet any specification changes
Familiar with metal stamping and CNC process
Experienced in conventional inspection methods (i.e. surface plate, micrometers, calipers, height gages etc.)
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office & other MS applications
Highly motivated and self-starting
Pay Rate: $18.00 and up based on experience
