An Attleboro manufacturing company, specializing in metal stamping and machined parts, is a looking to hire a full-time Lead Press/Setup Operator. Great work environment with competitive wages and benefits offered.
Compensation: $18-$24 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
Set up production tools in presses including setting roller by-pass, feed, air blast, scrap evaluation, etc. with little supervision
Change coils of raw stock, take-up reels, buckets, etc. as required for production run
Schedule and prioritize jobs on the floor to meet customer needs
Monitor quality of process during production per procedures and work instructions
Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjust machine to correct errors
Completes paperwork and inspection procedures as directed
Work Experience / Skills:
Experience as a Setup Operator with high-speed progressive tools on Burderer and Perkins punch presses
Experience working with close tolerances
Must read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, quality plans and procedures
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, radius and angle gauges, optical comparators, drop gauge, surface plate and gauge blocks and vision system
