If you love being outdoors and working with children while making great memories, we have just the spot for you! Counselors are responsible for providing supervision, leadership and direction to your campers as they navigate camp life. Develop your resume as you tackle the daily challenges of planning, preparing and facilitating age -appropriate activities in large and small groups. Work with other counselors to create a camp atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and caring for each child you meet, while showing each one as much individual attention as possible. You will maintain a community where each camper can grow and flourish throughout their week. Counselors are responsible for creating a strong, positive community in their groups as they fill the roles of friend, mentor and role model for all campers.
Qualifications: At least 18 years of age or a high school grad or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred. Previous experience working with children preferably in a camp setting. Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor skills, archery, arts and crafts, dance, drama, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, or recreational games. Passion for the outdoors and willingness to experience nature. Must complete and pass a CORI/SORI/NSOPW.
