This is a wonderful opportunity to support a friendly, independent woman in her 30s by offering the opportunity to live in a private family home. As her caregiver, you will play a crucial role in her daily life by:
- Assisting her with transportation to doctor and dental appointments.
- Helping prepare nutritious meals.
- Supporting her in achieving personal goals.
- Providing a calming and reassuring presence.

WORK Inc.’s Shared Living Program is a person-centered model that allows people with disabilities to self-determine their home and support through an arrangement in which they choose to live with a roommate, couple, or a family in the community and share mutually beneficial life experiences. Shared living households will be supported to foster mutually beneficial relationships based on social values that are positive, respectful and promote the equality and dignity of all household members.
Community members who wish to become shared living caregivers can be a single person, a family, a couple, and empty nesters – anyone who wants to share their lives and make a difference in someone else’s life!
All Shared living providers will receive ongoing case management support from WORK Inc., training, a generous monthly tax-free stipend, respite opportunities, and satisfaction from helping someone grow and flourish.
