Position Summary:
We’re seeking a friendly, reliable, and fishing-savvy Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves talking fishing and is knowledgably about tackle, enjoys helping customers, and has a flexible schedule. If you’re passionate about fishing and want to share that passion with others, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with product selection and fishing-related questions
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on rods, reels, lures, bait, and other gear
Operate the point-of-sale system (cash register), handle transactions, and issue receipts
Maintain clean and organized store displays, restock shelves, and price merchandise
Receive, unpack, and inventory shipments of gear and supplies
Promote store events, local fishing updates, and customer loyalty programs
Uphold a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all customers and fellow anglers
Qualifications:
Some retail or customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of fishing (freshwater and/or saltwater) required
Bonus if you’re familiar with local fishing conditions, gear types, or techniques
Friendly, approachable, and willing to learn
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
