The AHS Field Supervisor is a master of the trade and a master of the AHS system. The FS has proven themselves over time as an excellent craftsman, project lead, and master craftsman. Has a global perspective to manage the assets of the company and is accountable for profitability of all projects under his direct supervision. Is the face of AHS to the customer and takes care of all work-related situations. Is the “go-to-guy” for on-site, or in the field operations.
The Field Supervisor is a TEACHER:
Training - The FS trains new craftsmen in the AHS system and in work quality.
Evaluating – Partnering with Office manager to Evaluate and review craftsmen at 30 days, 90 days, 6 and 12 months and bi-annually via performance review sheet.
Accountable - Manages the assets of the company and the profitability of projects under his leadership, and takes care of all work-related situations.
Communication - Manages signed contracts, insurance liability forms for subcontractors; keeping them up-to-date, and communicates with subs and customers on the timing of the projects. Working closely and partnering with Office Manager to assure good communication between craftsmen and customers.
Hiring - The FS is integral in interviewing and hiring craftsman for in-the-field production.
Education - Stays current in construction techniques and materials, educates the customer to available options, educates craftsmen of different techniques, materials, and system related items.
Relationships - Builds relationships with craftsmen, customers, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Job Duties
Develop strategic relationships with vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
Partnering with Office manager, will be responsible for Hiring, Training, and Evaluating craftsmen.
Accountable for keeping all paperwork up-to-date: Signed contracts, DJSS sheets are filled out properly, facilitating/managing material inventory lists for items on hand for craftsmen to use and office tool rental sign off.
Insurance liability forms for all sub-contractors on file
Communicates with sub-contractors and customers of scheduling.
Assist the Owner/General Manager/Office manager as needed.
Recommendations for advancement of craftsmen and pay raises for craftsman.
Maintains twenty hours of billable time per week- completing small jobs/work as needed for the business.
Formulate estimates including pictures, notes with estimated hours and materials lists including costs to give to Office Manager to communicate to customers.
Put together and run monthly safety meetings with craftsmen going over OSHA job safety related topics.
Manage craftsmen in the field and checking to make sure AHS service path is being implemented.
Licenses
CSL- Construction Supervisor License preferred or equivalent work experience background.
Qualifications
At least 5+ years of handyman/construction experience
Own truck or van and tools
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
Excellent customer service skills
Collaborative, optimistic, reliable
Knowledgeable in multiple trades
Service Titan experience, a plus
