Overview
M.NEVES INC. seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of construction equipment and trucks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment is operating at optimal performance levels and in compliance with DOT regulations.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
Diagnose mechanical issues.
Conduct inspections on air brakes, and hydraulic systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Repair and maintain construction and fleet equipment.
Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs as needed.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Welding experience a plus
Working on small two stroke equipment also a plus
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or construction sector.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems knowledge of small engines preventative maintenance.
Proficiency in reading codes and technical diagrams.
Experience with rebuilding engines.
Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Relevant certifications or training in diesel mechanics are preferred but not mandatory.
Maintaining clean tools and organized shop.
