Huge real estate acquisition firm seeks a Home Re-Sale Technician who can be semi hands on and knowledgeable in home construction to assist in the preparation of selling the homes the company has purchased. A qualified Home Re-Sale Technician will have prior experience in home inspection, construction, handyman or property management.
As a Home Re-Sale Technician you will earn $28-30 an hour, plus 67 cents per mile (approx. $50 - $75 extra a day!). You will drive approximately 100 to 150 miles per day.
Responsibilities:
Installing/removing new locks, monitoring equipment and company signage when a home is bought or sold
Perform scheduled visits to listed properties to ensure they look good and schedule any maintenance work that may come up while homes are listed.
Check in on ongoing renovations and answer any questions vendors may have about work needed on a property
Ability to visit homes to identify issues and address potential feedback from visits such as lock/keys wouldn't work, HVAC malfunctions, plumbing, or sprinkler system not working properly
Respond to listed home quality issues as they arise before resale and send out work orders to appropriate vendors
Ability to assist in identifying issues that are impacting a home’s resale such as power lines, dramatic topography, unsightly adjacent homes or structures, and/or interior/exterior home flaws.
Ability to identify structural or moisture damage, cracking of concrete driveways, stem walls and foundation walls, damage to home’s siding (stucco, block, brick or other cladding), water intrusion or presence of potential leaks and wood damage.
To qualify, you must have a car, be able to travel in your assigned area and have a driver’s license, a good driving record, and valid vehicle insurance. You must be able to:
2+ years residential construction/renovation experience, real estate sales and market knowledge is a plus
Experience with estimating and coordinating residential construction, home flipping and renovations projects preferred
Understand and know basic residential construction materials (e.g., stucco, brick, pressure-treated wood, types of shingles, etc.)
Ability to use an iPad to input condition assessment data and use a map to locate property addresses
Ability to operate in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
