We are in need of a Structural Welder. Details are below:
-Experience Required: 5+ years of structural welding experience required.
-Credentials Required: AWS D1.1 Preferred, OSHA 10 REQUIRED
-Pay Rate: $35+ per hour (based on experience).
-Duration: 4 months
-Job Description:
This is for a large commercial project, where you will work on a combined team of erectors and welders. PPE required, Welding equipment will be provided. AWS D1.1 would be preferred, but will also be allowed to pass a welding competence test to take the assignment.
Interpreting blueprints and specifications: Understanding the design and technical drawings to determine welding procedures and materials.
Performing OVERHEAD STRUCTURAL welding in a scissor lift: Executing various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding, etc.) to join structural metal components.
Cutting and shaping metal: As needed, cutting metal components to the required size and shape.
Setting up the work area: Arranging components, ensuring proper alignment, and preparing the metal surfaces for welding.
