Job Overview
The Bus Detailer / Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for thoroughly detailing all
vehicles in the fleet, including but not limited to coaches, mini coaches, vans, school buses, and
maintenance vehicles. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing interior and exterior surfaces, sweeping,
mopping, vacuuming, washing windows, wiping down surfaces, maintaining and replenishing
supplies such as hand sanitizer, and performing visual inspections to report damage or maintenance
needs to management. This position requires operating various cleaning equipment, maintaining a
clean and safe workspace, adhering to established safety procedures, and occasionally assisting with
fueling and adding Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) to vehicles.
Additionally, upon request, this role involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of facilities at all
locations, which includes tasks such as trash removal, floor sweeping, restroom cleaning, changing
lightbulbs, and other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean seats, floors, windows, and the driver's compartment, removing trash and sanitizing all
surfaces from all vehicles.
- Wash the exterior of all vehicles, (using power washer when appropriate).
- Disinfect and sanitize restrooms, Empty and flush toilet tanks (after every trip) fill freshwater
tanks add sanitizer (after every trip)
- Restock toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, garbage bags, and other necessities and supplies as
listed on vehicle supply stock out list.
- Conduct visual vehicle inspections to ensure all areas meet Fisher’s strict safety and
cleanliness standards and to identify any damage or maintenance issues.
- Keep the work area clean and organized and the supply-cabinet fully stocked at all times.
- Perform trash removal from all facilities, keep facilities floors swept and mopped, clean
bathrooms, windows and other surfaces as needed.
- Perform light facilities maintenance i.e. change lightbulbs, etc as needed.

- Familiarity with cleaning equipment like pressure washers, mobile washers, vacuums, etc. is
often required.
- Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for thorough cleaning.
- Strong work ethics are required to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- The ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, and stand for extended periods is often
necessary.
- Adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and handling of cleaning
agents, is essential.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment like pressure washers, vacuums, and mobile bus
washers are often required.
Requirements / Other:
- This is a mostly outdoor, year-round position regardless of weather
- Use and care of company uniforms
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work
- CDL License a major plus
