Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Contracts Attorney in the high-tech engineering industry. Located in Waltham, Massachusetts, this role involves independently negotiating a range of commercial contracts with a focus on SaaS and related services agreements. Responsibilities: Independently negotiate a variety of inbound procurement contracts, including but not limited to SaaS solutions, hosting agreements, and services agreements. Draft and review confidentiality agreements, marketing agreements, and event agreements. Handle significant commercial terms and provide practical, actionable advice on legal risk and contractual rights to business teams. Exhibit expertise in global privacy laws and regulations applicable to cloud environments. Apply your skills in contract drafting and negotiation to handle big-ticket projects independently. Leverage technology and workflows to increase productivity and efficiency. Handle negotiations regarding supplier contracts and compliance. Provide business teams with self-service resources, templates, playbooks, and training. Utilize your knowledge in data protection terms and security requirements. Manage customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Hi Tech Engineering industry. Should possess expertise with 3M and Adobe Acrobat. Proficiency in Case Management Software and Conveyancer is required. Demonstrable skills in Document Management and Briefing. Experience in Civil Litigation and Claim Administration is necessary. Should have handled Complaint Handling and Consumer Electronics in previous roles. Knowledge of Privacy law is essential. Familiarity with SaaS Cloud, SAAS - Software As A Service, and working in a SaaS Environment is required. Must have a law degree from an accredited institution. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex legal matters. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential. Must have a keen attention to detail. Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
