Direct Support Professional- Amherst - Seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to be part of a home program for an active young man with autism living in Amherst. Staff will support this person at home and in the community. Responsibilities include providing assistance with cooking, recreation, community involvement, self care skills and overall support. 15 - 30 hours per week. Hours are flexible and may include day, evening and overnight hours. Must be able to work some weekend hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Must be responsible and trustworthy
Must have strong communication skills and patience.
Homemaking skills (cooking, laundry, etc.) a plus.
Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license and access to an automobile required.
Acceptable CORI and fingerprint check required.
Hourly pay starts at $25.00 per hour. Send cover letter and resume.
