The Center School is seeking a classroom teacher, whose responsibilities include planning for and running our combined 2nd and 3rd grade class/room at the Center School with a co-teacher. They will also be responsible for upholding the mission and philosophy of this progressive school and creating developmentally appropriate programs in which each student can make maximal growth. A Center School teacher spends hours with their students outside in all weather and temperatures, plays alongside their students at recess, facilitates lunchtime, and teaches all the subjects. A Center School teacher creates original curriculum based on students' interests and always through a social justice lens. A Center School teacher thrives on collaboration with other teachers and views parents as partners in their students' education, and goes above and beyond every day to co-create a joyful and rigorous learning environment for their students.
