Greenfield Public Schools has an opening for a Network Technician for our school buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:

-Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and follow-up technology hardware and software issues,

-Install, manage, monitor, and maintain hardware and software on multiple operating systems,

-Maintain advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS, and other system information related to new technology and software introduced at schools,

-Set work day priorities, manage and prioritize multiple requests and projects, and solve technical problems for administrators, teachers, staff and students, regularly consulting with assigned supervisor,

-Ability to work without constant supervision,

-Maintain technical training in IT areas of PC computing, network attached storage devices, Wireless (Aerohive) management, common Windows and Macintosh software (Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Anti-Virus), backup software such as Veeam or similar product, and networking architecture,

-Microsoft Hyper-V technology including storage & networking management and application-aware backup

-Plan, coordinate, and implement software updates and server backups, as authorized,

-Maintain up-to-date software images utilizing Microsoft WDS. MDT experience desired, but not necessary.

-Provide end-user support and day-to-day assistance with software, hardware, and upgrades,

-Manage staff and student user and email accounts, permissions and passwords,

-Manage Faronics Core agent and Anti-Executable

-Maintain and report annual inventory of equipment and software; keep up-to-date Trouble Ticket Help Desk logs and other information on tasks needed, tasks accomplished, and any software routine changes,

-Ability to work well with other Technology staff as well as administrators, teachers and staff

-Support staff administering tests such as NWEA and programs such as SNAP, Google Apps for Education, Google Account Manager, Follett Destiny, SIF ZIS, MCAS, PowerSchool, Microsoft SCCM, PRTG network monitoring software. Microsoft WSUS, Microsoft WDS, JAMF MDM and others

-Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

-Assist district IT personnel and other related duties as needed or assigned.

-Participate as a member of a system-wide technology team, providing backup support related to network -Excellent attendance record in prior positions

-Ability to lift 50 pounds

-Ability to work 40 hours/week and flexibility to respond to building needs

-IT related degree, or equivalent industry experience.

-Valid US driver's license, pass CORI check, pay for mandated fingerprinting. Must provide and use own vehicle to travel between buildings.

HOURS: 6:30 am “ 3:00pm (12-month position with 12 paid holidays, but no paid lunch).
