Job description -
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate female Personal Care Assistant for an elderly woman with muscular dystrophy in her home.
She needs all personal care. This role requires a strong, dependable, and punctual individual who has their own transportation dependably established as well as dependable childcare at home as needed.
Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7:00am to 9:00am.
There is an additional option for 12noon to 2pm on those days as well.
Duties -
Assist client with daily living activities, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, passive range-of-motion exercises, toileting and brief changes, and limited meal preparation.
Transfers to a wheelchair, a commode, and bed .
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Implement aseptic techniques when providing personal care, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Qualifications -
Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar caregiving role is preferred.
Excellent English communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.

The rate of pay is set by the state; currently that is $19.50 per hour. Paid time off is accrued.

Expected hours: 4 per weekend
Schedule: 7-9am Every Saturday and Sunday
