PCA wanted for senior female (interested in female applicants)
She is funny, fun, full of energy (sometimes very tired and sore). She is kind. You will often leave shaking your head. You will often leave laughing at things she says and does.
The job is work, and we will need you to have a professional demeanor, but, you will enjoy yourself.
The situation:
Part time: fri sat sun mon 4pm-8pms.
Hours are somewhat flexible if you are coming from another job, as long as we can coordinate.
Client is wheelchair bound, self-transfers; you will assist with meals, personal care, housekeeping, etc.
Client has mild dementia, and along with her generally cheerful demeanor, she can sometimes be confused, and occasionally childish ("I want this!"), a departure from her norm, and your role will be to redirect her softly without further agitation. It truly is a skill, and not everyone has it.
Client's family is directly involved (I'm her niece, I oversee her care)
We have a wonderful team of staff who work and communicate well together.
I have worked in this field myself as well as managing my aunt's care for a long time- I can honestly say you won't meet anyone else like her :)
