Personal Care Assistant needed for a disabled woman in the Northampton area. She lives alone and needs help to remain independent and stay in her own home. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, medication management, help with personal care, and companionship. There is heavy lifting involved. She can generally stand and pivot, but needs help - sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. She wakes up early and needs help getting up in the morning, so her day begins by 6 am. We have 20 - 24 hours available between 6 am and 9/10 pm. You must be willing to be scent-free and work some weekend hours. We have three wonderful women on our team willing to be flexible to bring in the right person. Once we find the right caregiver we'll make the hours work. The working environment is pleasant and comfortable, but it's not on a bus route so you need a reliable vehicle.
Preference is for an experienced woman, but if you have the heart for this kind of work, you can learn the job. If you're interested, please respond by telling me about yourself and your experience.
