The Williston Northampton School is an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Easthampton, Massachusetts and is a culturally diverse educational community of approximately 540 students in grades 7-12. We are seeking a full-time Ice Rink Operations Assistant.
Available immediately, the Ice Rink Operations Assistant position is an integral member of the Facilities Management team and will work full-time, 40 hours per week, calendar year. This position will also occasionally provide support to other areas of the Facilities Management team as needed (grounds, maintenance, set-ups). The rink schedule will vary and will regularly include weeknights, weekends and special events coverage as necessary. The position serves as the on-site primary contact, for all parties utilizing the rink, and acts as the lead professional for all on-site operational rink matters. Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Zamboni driver, responsible for maintaining the ice surface between and during games; Sharpen skates for WNS students and other constituents of the hockey rink; light custodial tasks, in the locker rooms, bleachers and in the general rink area; general machine maintenance associated with the hockey rink.
The qualified candidate will have 1-3 years’ similar experience. Must have the ability to work in a school environment by successful completion of all legally required and school required background checks including the state mandated CORI, Criminal Offender Record Information, SORI, Sex Offender Record Information and Fingerprint based criminal background check.
