The Williston Northampton Children’s Center strives to provide a stimulating, nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children from infant to age 5 years of age. The Center is open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily, Monday through Friday. Children and families that attend our center come from both the Williston Northampton School community as well as the surrounding towns. We have a full-time teaching opportunity available immediately in our infant room.
The qualified candidate will be responsible, with other teachers, for the general supervision and management of the infant classroom and assisting with program and curriculum development in accordance with the policies of the Center.
Qualifications: Mature, sensitive and independent self-starters, must be EEC certified and qualified as Teacher for Infant/Toddler. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred. Must be flexible and patient. Must have demonstrated experience in working with children in a group care setting. Must be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of bending, crouching, and /or kneeling to children’s level. Must be able to reach at and above shoulder height to access higher areas of play equipment, etc. Must be capable of frequent changes of position throughout the work shift.
