This position for those looking to earn extra income during the winter. All snow crew members are eligible for spring labor positions as well.
Responsibilities:
● Shovel snow, scrape ice, and apply de-icing materials (salt, sand, etc.) to designated
walkways and paths to maintain safe and clear conditions for pedestrians.
● Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of shovels, snow blowers, salt spreaders,
and any other tools or equipment used for snow removal.
● Prioritize safety for yourself and pedestrians. Be mindful of slippery surfaces and
hazardous conditions while working.
● Follow a predetermined schedule to ensure timely snow and ice removal, especially
during or after snowstorms.
● Perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions, often in cold and
inclement weather.
● Collaborate with other snow shovelers to efficiently clear larger areas and assist in
emergencies.
● Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with property owners
or occupants who may request snow removal services.
Qualifications:
● Reliable transportation in a variety of weather conditions
● Previous professional snow removal experience encouraged by not necessary
● Great winter job to earn extra income
