Our small but fast paced wholesale & retail fine jewelry company is in need of a Marketing and Website Assistant that's ready to hit the ground running! We are passionate about providing the best possible products and service to our customers, and we seek a like-minded individual to join our team.
Our attire is casual but polished, we love talking about and eating great food, and we thrive on collaborative problem solving. You should be a multifaceted individual with strong analytical and organizational skills that ideally has an interest in jewelry and is looking for a part-time position with room for growth and the possibility to transition to being full-time. Being a small team, you would need to remain agile about work-flow depending on the pressing deadlines of the day, and you must be able to concurrently focus on both short and long term projects.
The work would include but is not limited to very detail-oriented tasks related to managing our website, understanding and assisting with social media, editing and organizing photos, coordinating photo shoots, graphic design, writing marketing copy, and providing customer service. The Marketing and Website Assistants interpretation and transmission of details are vital to creating a strong foundation for our companys daily operations, so we have a high expectation of what it means to be a resourceful, detail-oriented team member.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a discerning eye, and experience with Excel, Photoshop, Dropbox, Macs and Instagram are required.
Desired Skills include:
o Digital & phone photography, including organizational strategies.
o Short form creative writing for marketing materials, website copy and social media.
o Strong understanding of current social media landscape, including new in-app technology developments and analytics.
o An understanding of how to use Squarespace.
o Prior experience working for a jewelry company.
o Prior experience in both a retail and wholesale environment.
o A sensitivity to visual details like fonts, formatting, etc. You must take pride in the visual display of the work you complete, including your penmanship.
